Method A: From the Project Home Page¶

To add a new dataset from the project home page, follow these steps:

Step 1: Navigate to the Project Home Page¶

Use the search bar on the Data Catalog welcome page to find the project that your new dataset should belong.

Step 2: Click “Add Dataset”¶

On the Project home page, click Add Dataset button located in the top-left corner.

Step 3: Fill out Dataset Info¶

Complete all the required fields marked with *:

Visibility
- Private (only accessible to project members)
- Public (visible to Biosustain employees)
Dataset Name
Dataset type
Dataset creator email

Tip

While only a few fields are required to create a dataset, we strongly recommend filling out additional fields, based on any relevant information you may have.

Providing more context helps ensure your dataset is easier to understand, discover, and reuse, both for yourself and others.

Even if you’re unsure about some details, you can always include what you know and update the dataset info later if needed.

Step 4: Save¶

Click Save located in the bottom-right corner of the page to submit your dataset.
